Bioverda Nominated for Golden Spider Award for Best Indigenous Website.
In October, Bioverda launched a new website to better meet the needs of its partners, customers and the public.
The challenge was to develop a detailed website that could address often complex and topical issues (such as sustainability, biofuels and CO2 savings etc) whilst providing enough detail to each stakeholder. This had to be achieved without becoming overly complex for any one particular audience.
Following detailed analysis of stakeholder requirements, Bioverda identified a number of key features that would be necessary within the website. Some of these included:
- Developing an interactive map to highlight the company's international focus and locations
- Provide a comprehensive and balanced account of biofuels and bioenergy with particular focus on issues such as Key Topics, Fact versus Fiction and Food versus Fuel
- Use colours and visual effect to reflect the branding image and values of the company such as a fresh, green and sustainable approach whilst demonstrating professional, commercial and international acumen
- Retaining audience interest using relevant visual aids. Many of the photographs as well as the videos were especially commissioned to demonstrate the biofuels and bioenergy process. The images were largely taken from existing Bioverda facilities.
- Complement the educational text with high quality video footage of the production process as well as plant construction and operations
- Provide a comprehensive list of links and resources for further research in the biofuel and bioenergy space
- To facilitate getting to Bioverda's international locations, Bioverda commissioned individual location maps for each office, utilising the Bioverda colours
Following the successful launch of the website, Bioverda was shortlisted for a Golden Spider award for Best New Indigenous Website in 2007. Bioverda will be updating and modifying the website on a regular basis and any feedback from users of the site on its userability and adaptability can be sent to info@bioverda.com
